Every Evening · From 19:30

The Zakynthian
Night begins.

As the plates are cleared, the guitar and mandolin come out — and the old kantades of the island fill the night. Nobody stays seated for long.

The Tradition

Kantades — the song of Zakynthos

Unique to our island, the kantada is a serenade sung in harmony to guitar and mandolin — a tradition carried down through generations of Zakynthian families.

“You come for dinner and leave having sung with strangers.”
